A Louisiana firefighter was injured battling a residential fire early Wednesday.
The fire broke out shortly after 3:30 a.m. at single-story, wood-frame house in Shreveport's Martin Luther King neighborhood, KTAL-TV reports. Around 15 firefighters responded to the call, and they encountered heavy flames and smoke coming from the structure.
A firefighter was taken to the hospital after suffering injuries that weren't considered life-threatening. No details were released about the nature or extent of the injuries.
The fire was under control in around 20 minutes, and no one was home at the time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
